Ancona ducks are a heritage breed, dual purpose duck, not currently recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA). However, we raise our Anconas following the standards established by Dave Holderread. This means we prioritize breeding for health, genetic diversity, and unique characteristics, rather than purely for show qualities.

To ensure a strong and genetically diverse flock, we've sourced breeding stock from some of the top Ancona breeders across the country. These include Our Nook of the Woods in Pennsylvania, Ancona Acres in Missouri, Muddy Hole Farm in Virginia, and Worth It Farms in Georgia.
